Kids Clothes Week is off and running and I'm hoping I can stay the course and produce a few pieces worth showing. Things are looking good so far with 1 WIP finished today (stay tuned for another post) and another in progress with an e.t.a of tomorrow or Wednesday.
Ok, now the one that follows here is not strictly a KCW accomplishment as it was completed (but not blogged) prior to this week. But, I promised to show further photos in my last post, so here they are.
This is my latest pattern, the Wink Designs "Madeline Dress", with two variations to the original design. The first mod is the replacement of pocket flaps with bows and the second is the addition of a pleated band at the hemline.
The fabric is a print from a little stash purchased earlier in the year from ie boutique, a French childrens clothes and homewares boutique which also sells its own line of fabric.
I read a few bloggers accounts of buying fabric there while in Paris and was excited to find out that they also supply online.
The prints are all divine and perfect for dressmaking and they're inspired by Indian designs (and also produced, I think, in India).
Back with more soon. Good luck and happy sewing to all other KCW people.....
