I used this combination of prints to make a summer sundress for Miss Wink (made to the "Little Ellie" pattern) and can report that they are fabulous to sew with.
This pattern is actually designed as a slip on with no closures on the collar. However, I decided to vary it by opening the collar at the shoulder seams and adding some buttons.
Then I got lazy and just sewed the buttons through both layers of fabric rather than making buttonholes. Well it does slip on, after all......
The recipient was at preschool and unavailable for dress modelling when I took these snaps but will try and get some of her wearing it asap.
The other variation to this one is that the armhole facings (bindings) are usually turned to the inside but I took the opportunity to display the pretty fabric by turning them out instead.
