Here are some photos of the dress I mentioned in this post.
The pattern is Simplicity 5695 which, judging by the number of times I've seen it on crafty blogs, is a pretty high in the popularity stakes. This stunning example by Alicia of Posy Gets Cozy tipped me over the edge to buy the pattern.
It was easy to make except for my little sleeve slip-up. The front and back bodice are different heights so you need to cut one sleeve in reverse, which I didn't do at first. (Yes, I know, read the pattern Marina!) A quick fix job made things right though.
Miss Wink needs a little party dress to wear when we're overseas later this month so I chose a very girly and pretty print. It's from the "Grandmother's Flower Garden" range by Rosalie Quinlan. I think it will fit the bill nicely.
Here's the dress in full length.
Into the suitcase! Packing - aaagh!
